Dominique has had
a deep love for horses all of her life. This love inspired her to start
drawing. Before she was ever on the back of a horse she had reproduced
many an imaginary ride on a piece of paper. These two passions have played
an important part all of her life.
In high school,
she was busy developing her riding and drawing skills (where she won several
awards for her school publication drawings). In her adult life Dominique
uses her Bachelor of Science degree to get underneath the skin of her two
legged and four legged subjects. Her love of drawing has continued into
her professional life. She has broadened her skills of traditional painting
and illustration to include computer graphics.
Dominique is proud
to make Prince Edward Island her home. She is presently working out of
her own studio for clients throughout the Maritimes and the rest of Canada.
The subjects that first inspired her to draw are never far off. Though
her soft spot is for horses, Dominique loves all animals. Therefore, she
is always thrilled to paint the wide range of animals represented in her
pet portraits and other fine art pieces.
